Ami Wood

Ami Wood was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia. She visited family in Charleston often and after falling in love with the historic city, she relocated here in 1994. Twenty- four years later, she considers herself a local. Ami resides in Old Mt. Pleasant with her husband, two amazing kids and one crazy English bulldog pup!

Although Ami enjoyed being a corporate bank lender for over 14 years, her true passion was design, building and remodeling. She is married to a 3rd generation builder. They moved often and this gave her firsthand experience to all the wonderful neighborhoods Charleston has to offer. After years of encouragement from family and friends, she decided it was time to leave corporate America and follow her passion. It has been a wonderful experience!

Ami is very involved in the design process for her husband’s contracting company, which specializes in land acquisition and custom home construction. This experience allows her to help clients see potential in creating something spectacular that begins with raw land and becomes their dream home!
